The Feast Dress has been used in my solo dance
ministry for many years. It was copied and used in various productions by the Good
Samaritan Dance Choir from Paoli, Pennsylvania. The design was then approved for the dance
company at The Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem, Israel. It is there that I gave it the name, 'Feast Dress'.
Some of the exciting things about this versatile design
are that depending on the fabric used, it makes a great modern dance dress or costume for
ballet. When the vest overlay is added the dress takes on another look. For example, if
braid is applied, the outfit is a folk style, or if metallic lame is used, the vest looks
like a royal breastplate. The possibilities are endless. This dress can also be made with
a modern, print fabric and be good enough for evening attire.
My friend, Heather Taylor, has applied her experience
in graphic design and sewing to help me realize my ideas and make this pattern available
to you. I pray that this dress will be a real blessing to your dance ministry.
