Single and double skirts
Skirt in a satiny fabric with gold culottes, angel blouse, and a black velvet vest (no pattern available)
The double circle skirt can be lifted up as wings, to suggest or represent the Holy Spirit. Here two dancers portray the Peace of the Spirit descending on one in prayer. |
This pattern is designed to be fitted for a small, medium, or large size dancer. The waist can be worn for any measurement falling into one of these three ranges. A ribbon tie and Velcro closure is used for custom fitting rather than the skirt being custom for it's owner. Sizes ranges included are:
This pattern is specially designed not to stretch on the bias of the fabric so the hem length and finish will not alter. However, the finished hem should be altered on the dancer after the skirt has had a chance to hang and any bias stretch is trimmed.
The pattern can be made as a straight single circle skirt or a straight double circle skirt, both with or without a ruffle.
NOTE Skirt length is 36". Alterations should be made on the pattern which will aid in accurate yardage requirements.
SUGGESTED FABRICS: Light weight and flowing fabrics such as Batiste, Double Georgette, Chiffon, Charmeuse, Organza, Lycra, Crepe de Chine or light Poly/Cotton Blends
